IEEE DCOSS 2011 Conference Venue

IEEE DCOSS 2011 will be held at the Casa Convalescència, Barcelona, Spain

A very rare and unusual conference location has been secured for IEEE DCOSS 2011, i.e the Casa Convalescència. It is a Gaudi-like modernistic building which as been declared a Historic Artistic Monument in 1978 and later named part of UNESCO’s Cultural Heritage for Humanity in 1997.

The venue is located at c/ Sant Antoni Maria Claret, 171 (Google Streetview) It is thus located 500m from Barcelona’s famous Sagrada de Familia and the less-known but beautiful Avinguda de Gaudi (Google Streetview) which is dotted with many restaurants and coffee shops. The recommended conference hotel is located just across the street from the venue. Metro lines 4 (yellow) and 5 (blue) take you within 10 minutes to the beach.
